Automated Bile Collection
Collect bile at programmed intervals rather than a single continuous drain. The Empis system directs flow, but does not actively collect from the animal. During user-defined collection periods, replacement bile salts are directed toward the subject. While not collecting, the bile is naturally re-circulated via the duodenal catheter. Discrete bile samples are collected into vials in a refrigerated collector. The entire system is a closed loop, making cleanup a breeze. Use the BASi Culex ® to perform simultaneous blood sampling and use a metabolic cage to collect urine and feces for a full metabolic profile
