Blood Sampling
A user-defined method allows collection of blood samples for PK and bioavailability studies. Sample sizes are dependent on the choice of collector below. Choose a method for Whole Blood or No Blood Waste with sample times starting a 0 minutes. Use the program to simultaneously collect behavior. Utilize the Empis for automated dosing capabilities.
The Small Volume Fraction Collector (MD-1201)
- Collects samples from 5µL to 250µL
- Required for sampling in mice, but is also ideal for rats.
- Can be used interchangeably to sample blood or dialysates
- Optional refrigeration keeps samples at 4°C
- Dual cannula sampling capabilities when used for microdialysis
- Holds up to 48 samples at one time.
The Large Volume Fraction Collector (MD-1202)
- Collects samples from 50µL to 1.5mL
- Ideal for larger rodents including diabetic rats and guinea pigs
- Can be used interchangeably to sample blood or perform automated bile sampling.
- Optional refrigeration keeps samples at 4°C
- Holds up to 26 samples at one time
- Dried blood spot collection option
