Excelling in Non-Standard Conditions |
|
As we close out the first month of 2026, the Nernst equation is starting to feel like a lifestyle and not just an electrochemical relationship. Even under non-standard conditions and uncertain times, BASi is here to help you move your work forward and reach your potential. Below is a summary of our new products and current activites including: - New EC cells and accsessories New EC cells and accessories.

Multifunctional Electrochemistry Kits |
![]() |
|
Our new Multifunctional Electrochemistry Kits utilizing the new Pete’s Mulitfunctional Holder are designed to simplify and standardize laboratory electrochemistry setups across a wide range of applications. Kits are available with a traditional universal three-electrode configuration, or a hybrid configuration that supports both screen-printed electrodes and traditional three-electrode measurements within the same platform, providing additional flexibility for laboratories that work across multiple electrode formats. The hybrid cell top is also compatible with our C3-Voltammetry and CGME Cell Stand Packages to allow for integration of screen printed electrodes. Air-tight EC Cells |

We now also offer air-tight EC cell kits, including kits for low temperature measurements. Precision Faraday Cage |

|
The new Precision Faraday Cage comes fully assembled and is easy to integrate with the Multifunctional Electrochemistry Kits to control electromagnetic noise. See the white paper Low Current Measurements with BASi Research Products Faraday Cage. For experiments where temperature, atmosphere, and signal integrity must all be tightly controlled, integrating low-temperature, air-tight cells within our new Faraday cage helps preserve meaningful electrochemical behavior under otherwise non-standard conditions. |
New PalmSens PotentiostatsThree new potentiostats were launched by PalmSens over the last year. Each of these instruments provides unique and valuable options for various types of electrochemical research, reducing setup complexity, improving reproducibility, and helping measured potentials remain interpretable even when experiments move beyond idealized conditions. Whether working outside the traditional lab, scaling measurements across multiple electrodes, or pushing sensitivity limits, these tools help make electrochemistry easier and more accurate. |
Emstat4T |

|
Take it with you anywhere. The EmStat4T brings full electrochemical control into a standalone, portable format, making reliable measurements possible anywhere. This potentiostat is great for environmental and point-of-care applications, and anytime it is ideal to analyze a sample immediately after it is collected. The user-friendly touch screen supports use by both novice and experienced electrochemists, and you have the option to make customized applications tailored to your research needs. The EmStat4T can also be configured with an SNS or SPE connection module. Emstat4 MUX |

|
Increase your throughput with this combined potentiostat/galvanostat/EIS analyzer and multiplexer, offering 8 channels for automated, sequential measurements. The EmStat4 MUX supports all popular electrochemical techniques while enabling consistent measurements across multiple electrodes or cells using a single instrument. Sequential measurements on a single instrument reduce instrument-to-instrument variability, improving comparability across electrodes, samples, and conditions. When additional channels are required, one or more units can be stacked for up to 128 channels, allowing experiments to scale without increasing system complexity. Nexus |
![]() |
|
Designed for experiments where precision, flexibility, and signal integrity matter most, the Nexus is a high-performance potentiostat/galvanostat/EIS analyzer built for advanced electrochemical research. With ultra-low noise, a wide current range, and powerful impedance capabilities, Nexus supports meaningful potential measurements across diverse systems, from delicate sensor interfaces to demanding energy and corrosion studies. By combining high sensitivity with robust scripting and automation, Nexus helps researchers maintain interpretable, reproducible results even under non-standard conditions, where small potential shifts and subtle kinetic effects are critical. It is a platform for electrochemistry that prioritizes control, clarity, and confidence in the data. Upcoming WebinarJoin us on February 27th at 1pm EST for our first webinar of 2026: Illuminating the Fundamentals & Applications of Spectro-Electrochemistry Technique. |

In this two-part program, Dr. Megan Lazorski, Associate Professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver, will be joining us to provide a detailed overview of the fundamental principles governing spectro-electrochemistry. This session will cover the theoretical basis of the technique, experimental considerations, and key advances in the field. Dr. Ritesh Vyas, Associate Director, Product Commercialization & Strategy at BASi Research Products will follow with a focus on practical implementation and modern research applications using fully integrated spectro-electrochemistry configurations. This talk will highlight case studies spanning bioelectrochemistry, energy storage, electrocatalysis, environmental analysis (including dyes, pesticides, and pollutants), redox polymer systems, redox-active organic molecules in solution, and inorganic or organometallic complexes. Together, these presentations will equip attendees with both a strong conceptual foundation and practical insight into how spectro-electrochemistry can be applied to contemporary research challenges. |

For us, this reflects a long-term commitment to supporting researchers and educators through reliable instrumentation, practical application resources, and sustained engagement with the scientific community. BASi is one of the earliest providers of advanced electrochemistry instruments and accessories. For over 50 years BASi has served the needs of the ever evolving research landscape. The Nernst equation teaches us that potential depends on context. As conditions shift, so must our tools and approaches. By focusing on control, clarity, and experimental rigor, BASi continues to support electrochemistry that remains meaningful, reproducible, and grounded in fundamentals, even when conditions are far from standard.
