Update to Clients Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)


Our team at BASi Research Products and our partners at Inotiv are monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and reviewing our business continuity plans daily. We have assembled a risk management team that is keeping abreast of updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local authorities.

At this time, our production is fully operational and we have not identified any issues related to logistics, supplies, or other resources, that will affect our ability to continue supporting our clients. This is true for both the products and the contract research services components of our business.

During this challenging period, we would like to reassure you that BASi remains open for business and committed to business continuity and helping you achieve your research goals. Please also know that we are prioritizing the safety and well-being of our employees and their families and we are also taking steps to minimize impact to our clients’ health and safety. 

While this situation is continuously evolving, we have taken several proactive steps, including:

  • Postponing or minimizing group meetings at all sites.
  • Adhering to governmental travel advice, and limiting all non-critical in-country and international travel.
  • Ceasing employee travel between sites, to scientific meetings and to client sites.
  • Continually evaluating and providing flexible work arrangements where possible for employees, including work from home options and staggered hours.
  • Implementing additional safety and cleaning procedures for incoming and outgoing packages to reduce the risk of contamination spread.
  • Limiting on-site visits from contractors, suppliers and clients.    
  • Maintaining vigilance, as always, regarding workplace hygiene standards and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Actively working with and monitoring our vendors and supply chain to ensure continued access to essential materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Working with our team members and our community to share ideas and support each other during this challenging time.

We are experiencing some disruptions to our service and training visits, and we will work with each affected company to come to a resolution that meets the needs of both sides, while accounting for the safety and well-being of staff and clients.

Please note, we are currently experiencing some supplier delays due to COVID-19.

Products coming from, or shipping to, international locations are experiencing longer than usual delays. We will continue to work with vendors, customers, and the shipping companies to minimize disruption.  However, this may have an impact on some orders. At this time, impacted products include PalmSens, Open Flow Microperfusion Products and some Screen Printed Electrodes.
