Laboratory Technician II

The lab tech position will perform routine laboratory analyses and will perform general housekeeping lab activities. Documentation of activities performed and communication with team leaders is critical. Common laboratory equipment and multiple software packages will be used on a daily basis
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform routine sample analysis
- Prepare solutions for use in analysis
- Maintain laboratory supply inventory
- Enter data into database
- Maintain confidential information
- Interact with the community and employees
- Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in science with no direct laboratory work experience, or
- Two years of direct laboratory experience or
- Equivalent combinations of related education and work experience will be considered
Skills & Abilities
- Good organizational skills
- Versatility and accuracy performing laboratory operations
- Ability to use a computer with a variety of commercial and proprietary software
- An attitude for quality, an eye for detail, the ability to follow written instructions and work with a minimum of supervision
- Understanding of GMP/GLP/GCP regulations with the ability to apply these practices daily
- A working knowledge and awareness of general laboratory procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
- Able to wear latex or nitrile gloves, dust mask or respirator, and safety glasses as required
