Instruments Assembler
This position is responsible for assembling finished products using sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners according to customer specifications and BASi policies.
How you can make an impact:
- Assemble mechanical and/or electrical systems and products; install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casing
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine material requirements and assembly instructions
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to assist customers and service equipment
- Inspect test wiring installations, assemblies and circuits for resistance factors and record results
- Position, align, and adjust work pieces to facilitate assembly
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and BASi policies
- Clean and maintain work area
- Maintain confidential information
- Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Activity:
- Ability to distinguish color required
- Experience with soldering equipment and processes
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to understand engineering blue prints and schematics
- Self motivate with ability to work independently
- Ability to develop work schedules and meet deadlines
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Experience using hand tools
Tools, Equipment and Other Resources:
- Various software applications sustained by a Windowsä platform. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Precision measuring equipment (micrometer, calipers, gage pins, etc.)

Physical Activity:
- This position requires frequent walking, standing for extending periods of time, sitting for extended periods of time, talking for extended periods of time, carrying items (maximum of 30 pounds), reaching while standing and general repetitive motions
- Perform precision measuring
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Perform repetitive tasks
Working Conditions:
- Normal manufacturing environment
- Tool and machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but no limited to; eye safety glasses.
- Exposure to various materials (includes, but not limited to cardboard, Styrofoam, plastic, etc.)
- The noise level is usually moderate
- Varying temperatures
