Shipping and Receiving Associate

How you will make an impact:
- Pick, pack, and process customer orders.
- Prepare customer order processing, shipment data entry, and packaging documents.
- Perform quality check to ensure package contents fulfill customer order documentation.
- Assemble, pack, and seal shipping materials and crates.
- Coordinate package loading, shipping, and delivery.
- Receive and perform quality check inspection of incoming materials
- Coordinate materials receiving, supply, and movement: including stock identification, loading and unloading, storage, and transfer.
- Determine shipping method for packages, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Label new inventory items, identify warehouse bin location.
- Perform and assist in inventory control activities, including physical and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
- Compare, identify information and count, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Maintain neat, clean, and orderly warehouse and storage operations.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Responsible for at least two recommendations per quarter regarding improvement in safety, health, efficiency or process.
- This position is subject to sudden changes in work assignments and priorities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's degree preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate a fork truck is preferred
- Strong team focus
- Ability to follow instructions while working safely and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with deliveries and inventory control procedures preferred
- Willing and able to work overtime which may include occasional after hours and/or weekends
