Electrical Testing Technician
Electrical Testing Associate is responsible developing and following test procedures for BASi and customer equipment. This position also developments and designs, or assists in the development and design, of new equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for verifying all items shipped to customers perform electronically and mechanically based on item's specific design
- Develop new test procedures and fixtures, and refine current testing procedures both independently and with engineers
- Design and develop new equipment independently, and assist engineering with design and development of new equipment
- Repair returned equipment from customers and in-house test equipment
- Communicate with customers both verbally and in writing to develop mutually beneficial relationships
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to assist customers and service equipment
- Represent BASi while out in the field and act as salesperson for BASi products and product services
- Assist as needed in manufacturing to ensure items are shipped to customer in timely fashion
- Maintain confidential information
- Interact with the community and employees
- Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Equivalent combination of related education and required work experience will be considered.
Skills & Abilities
- Good people skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Ability to think and react quickly to various situations
- Mechanically inclined
- Some knowledge of chemistry is helpful
- Some knowledge of biology, physiology, and biochemistry helpful for field work
Tools, Equipment & Other Resources Used
- Various software applications sustained by a Windows platform. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Soldering iron, machine shop equipment, and chemistry laboratory equipment
- Basic electronic tools including meters and oscilloscopes
- All basic shop hand tools, drill press, grinders
- Advanced shop tools including lathe, mill and acetylene torch
