BASi Instrument End of Life

BASi has been making quality research tools for electrochemistry and low-stress in vivo sampling for more than 45 years. We aim to support instruments for as long as possible after the instrument has reached end of life, but inevitably, some items can no longer be serviced or repaired. What Product End of Life Means to You

Product Owners: BASi provides repair services to all current instruments including assessment, rebuild and sometime replacements of components. 

On Site Service and Maintenance Customers: For customers that are covered under an OSSM plan, a custom notification will be sent that outlines any affected instruments. If the notification has not been received, or additional copies are needed, please contact us with your request.

End of Life Phases That May Affect You:

  1. End of Sale: BASi will provide reasonable notice of the end of sale date. This means that the product will no longer be available for sale to new customers.  When possible, notification will be sent via email, as well as posting on the product website.
  2. End of Life: Generally, BASi will announce the end of life to the product's existing customers on the website. The end of life for the instrument signifies the end of development and support for that particular instrument/model.

BASi End of Life Policy:

We aim to support instruments for as long as possible after the instrument has reached end of life, but inevitably, some items can no longer be serviced or repaired. This is due to the fact that we cannot control availability of all replacement parts, electronic components, or computer operating systems. Nevertheless, our goal is to support the hardware and software for no less than 7 years, and we do our best to order and maintain the supplies that make this possible. When a product is affected by a shorter support period, BASi will notify customers as early as possible so that they may plan accordingly.

Policy and Fee Changes

BASi reserves the right to change this end of Life Policy and to reduce or amend maintenance offerings available for renewal under this policy at any time, with or without prior notice. BASi reserves the right to charge an additional fee for continued support of products after the end of life dates and is under no obligation to provide support after end of life. BASi also reserves the right to reduce or amend support offerings available for renewal under this policy at any time and at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
