BASi AC Impedance Module

AC Impedance or Admittance spectra can provide considerable insight into electrode processes. The advantage of this
technique is that a large number of discrete time domains (inversely related to the frequency of the AC waveform) can be
examined at a fixed potential. However, spectra can be very difficult to interpret and to apply any electrochemical meaning,
although the results can provide additional information that can be combined with the results from other electrochemical
techniques to yield reasonable conclusions about the electrode process under study.
The ACI AC Impedance Module is required for AC impedance measurements using the BASi 100B/W
Electrochemical Workstation. The applied AC waveform and data acquisition is uses Fourier transform to apply multiple
frequencies simultaneously. The frequency range is from 0.1 mHz to 1 kHz, corresponding to time scales ranging from thousands
of seconds to milliseconds.
