This study used a novel caging system designed for automated blood sampling from catheterized pigs, using a rotating cage to eliminate catheter tangling, without human intervention.

New LDTD Technology Now at BASi
LDTD (Laser Diode Thermal Desorption) developed by Phytronix is an innovative design based on a novel approach where sample extracts are introduced into the mass spectrometer by a rapid laser thermal desorption process with ionization effected by atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (LDTD-APCI). LDTD reduces analysis time to a fraction of that required by LC-MS/MS, effectively increasing capacity and ensuring much quicker analysis turn-around.
